My three prints are made using the Japanese woodblock technique (mokuhanga). The first two, “Autumn Moon Over The Demolition Of The Southtown Projects” and “Evening Bell Of The UHP At UAB,” are in the tradition of the ‘Eight Views’, which flowered in 18th Century Japan, with roots reaching back to 11th Century China, but adapted to my Birmingham. The third, “Half-empty?” purports to be a black & white photo of the proverbial glass half-empty/half-full.
